Srilanka, Jan. 29 -- In response to reports about a goat-eating dog being killed by hanging, the Justice Ministry said that the Mediation Board did not issue an order to that effect, but facilitated the mutually agreeable solution, which involved handing over the dog to the goat owner after its owner refused responsibility.

According to the Mediation Board Commission, it does not issue orders but facilitates dialogue and assists parties in reaching a mutually agreeable solution through voluntary discussion. It says there is no authority to issue such orders.
