Sri Lanka, Dec. 2 -- The Ministry of Education announced that schools are scheduled to reopen on December 16, and that the decision remains unchanged as of now.

However, Education Ministry Secretary Nalaka Kaluwewa said the prevailing situation will be continuously reviewed.

"If any adjustments to the reopening date become necessary, the Ministry will issue an official announcement," he added.
