Sri Lanka, Aug. 27 -- Foreign Affairs Minister Vijitha Herath today reaffirmed that there has been no change either by the Indian central government or through diplomatic channels regarding the ownership of Kachchatheevu Island.
Addressing the post-Cabinet media briefing, the Minister said that Kachchatheevu remains Sri Lankan territory. His remarks came in response to recent comments by Indian actor-turned-politician Thalapathy Vijay, who raised the issue during a political rally in South India, sparking widespread debate.
