Srilanka, Jan. 22 -- Minister of Justice Harshana Nanayakkara said that there has been no discussion within the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the removal of the current Attorney General or the introduction of an impeachment motion against him.

This statement was made in response to questions raised by journalists regarding various opinions circulating on social media.

When asked if there were any preparations to remove the Attorney General, the Minister said, "We have not held any such discussion within the Cabinet regarding whether to bring an impeachment motion to remove the Attorney General."
