Sri Lanka, Aug. 29 -- Former Parliamentarian Nimal Lanza was remanded until September 12 after being produced before the Negombo Magistrate's Court today.

Lanza was arrested after surrendering to the Kochchikade Police earlier in the day over alleged assault and unlawful entry during a protest in 2006.
