Srilanka, March 21 -- Opposition MP Dayasiri Jayasekara today denied that he had accepted funds from Perpetual Treasuries owned by Arjun Aloysius.

The MP told Parliament that he had informed the Presidential Commission which probed the bond scam and it is written in the Commission report.

"It was my questioning during sessions of Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) of former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran which led to certain disclosures on the bond scam," the MP said denying the allegation by Deputy Minister Harshana Sooriyaperuma on Thursday.

"There has been questionable dealings during the time Deputy Minister Sooriyaperuma was working at the Colombo Stock Exchange," he added.
