SriLanka, Feb. 22 -- SLPP MP Namal Rajapaksa began his United Kingdom visit by paying homage at the London Buddhist Vihara, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. During the visit, he received blessings from members of the Maha Sangha, his office said.

However, his scheduled address at the Cambridge Union was cancelled due to security concerns arising from planned protests, while his planned address at the Oxford Union and several engagements with the Sri Lankan community in the UK are expected to proceed as planned.
