Srilanka, June 29 -- Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa has accused the National People's Power (NPP) government of attempting to cover up its failures through false propaganda and character assassination, while also dragging respected religious leaders into political controversies.

In a strongly worded message posted on social media platform X, Rajapaksa claimed that the government, having failed to deliver on the promises it made during its first year in office, has now resorted to misinformation campaigns to distract the public.
