Sri Lanka, Dec. 3 -- Today (03), Parliament observed a minute's silence to pay tribute to those who lost their lives due to the recent adverse weather conditions affecting the island.
The tribute was requested by the Chief Organizer of the Opposition, Mr. Gayantha Karunatilleke, to remember the victims of floods, landslides, and strong winds in recent days.
Members from both the ruling party and the opposition participated in the minute's silence as a mark of respect.
