Srilanka, Feb. 11 -- A moderate level of air quality was recorded in most cities yesterday, while slightly unhealthy levels were observed in Galle, Ratnapura, Embilipitiya and Hambantota, according to the Vehicular Emission Test Trust Fund of the Department of Motor Traffic (DMT).

It was forecast that air quality would range between 58 and 108 throughout the day, indicating a moderate level in most cities, while Galle and Ratnapura experienced slightly unhealthy levels.

Comparatively, air quality in the coming days is expected to remain moderate in most cities across the country. However, the highest air pollution levels were recorded between 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
