Sri Lanka, Sept. 12 -- Minister of Women's Affairs Saroja Paulraj has insulted female MPs in the Opposition through the remarks she made yesterday, MP Chamindrani Kiriella told Parliament today.
"The Minister said women MPs in the ruling party are superior as they have not come to Parliament by holding their husbands' tails and ones who have not made use of the integrity of their fathers. I have come to Parliament following my father who had served in the House for more than 30 years. MP Rohini Kaviratne has come to Parliament after her husband and her father. The comments made by the Minister are unacceptable," she said.
