Sri Lanka, Jan. 7 -- The Government is following a mild approach with regard to US invasion on Venezuela, an opposition MP told Parliament yesterday.

"Those in the present government used to surround the US Embassy in Sri Lanka many times while they were in the opposition. Why are NPP and JVP silent and following a mild approach with regard to this matter," Opposition MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayake questioned in the House.

"Your breakaway group staged a protest near the US Embassy but you were silent," he told the MPs in the government benches.
