Sri Lanka, May 19 -- Gampaha District Chief Organiser of the Mawbima Janata Party, Milan Jayatilleke, who was arrested today by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, was released on bail of Rs. 1 million by Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali.

He was accused of causing a loss of Rs. 373,000 to the government in 2013 by approving the issuing of deeds without following proper procedures during a sale of a land within the Pradeshiya Sabha area while serving as Chairman.
