Sri Lanka, Nov. 11 -- The Marine Environmental Protection Authority (MEPA) has taken steps to introduce a robotic machine capable of automatically collecting floating waste from water bodies.
Reports indicate that the machine will operate using 5G technology, enhancing its efficiency and real-time monitoring capabilities.
The inaugural program to introduce these machines in Sri Lanka was held under the patronage of Environment Minister Dr. Dhammika Patabendi, marking a significant step towards modernizing waste management in the country's waterways.
