Srilanka, May 8 -- The Education Minister has decided to question the school principal and transfer the male teacher involved, in response to the recent suicide of a Grade 10 schoolgirl in Kotahena.

A tense situation emerged this morning at the Ramanathan Hindu Ladies' College in Bambalapitiya.

The police investigation report regarding the incident has been requested, and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken as soon as it is received.

Further investigations into the matter are currently underway.
