Srilanka, Feb. 19 -- Transporting school children, technical college and university students, and senior citizens holding season tickets purchased from the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has been made mandatory.

In a statement, the SLTB said that refusing to transport these season ticket holders is a punishable offense.

Accordingly, all SLTB employees have been instructed and made aware of the requirement to transport season ticket holders without hesitation.

Additionally, the Chairman has directed that strict disciplinary action be taken against employees who refuse to transport these passengers.
