Srilanka, April 27 -- A man who demonstrated the main character of a drama (Ponnan Sangar), which depicted the Hindu culture, fell to death off a 60-foot pole in Nanu Oya this morning.
The man was identified as a 63-year-old father of three from a tea estate in Nanu Oya.
Labourers of the tea estate act out the drama depicting the Hindu culture every year and they had been doing it from last night when the tragedy occurred this morning.
It is reported that the man who acted the main character had been strewing flowers from the top of the pole, to the people who had participated in the festival when he slipped and fell on to the ground.
