Sri Lanka, Nov. 7 -- Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa said that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa will not take part in the opposition protest rally scheduled to be held in Nugegoda on November 21.

He said, however, that the rally will take place with the blessings of the former President.

"Mahinda Rajapaksa is someone who has always stood for the people and the country. We grew up gaining experience under his politics. Therefore, we know how to lead a struggle (aragalaya) and build the nation," Namal Rajapaksa said.
