Sri Lanka, Sept. 6 -- Former Sri Lanka cricket star and respected sports administrator Roshan Mahanama has stepped down from his position as a member of the National Sports Council (NSC). Mahanama, who was appointed to the council for the 2025-2028 term by a letter dated February 14, 2025, officially assumed duties on February 20, but has now withdrawn from the role.

In a statement announcing his resignation, Mahanama explained that personal reasons had led to his decision.
