Sri Lanka, March 7 -- Colombo Additional Magistrate Pasan Amarasinghe today directed the police to investigate into and call for the necessary inquiries into the cause of death of two suspects in police custody, who were arrested in connection with the murder of a businessman in Kotahena recently.

The incident unfolded when the two suspects arrived on a motorcycle and killed a person in Kotahena. After their arrest, the suspects were taken into police custody for the recovery of hidden weapons. However, police later claimed that the suspects were killed in self-defense during the operation.
