New Delhi, Sept. 4 -- The Kandy Divisional Crimes Investigation Bureau arrested a lady doctor who was driving a luxury car with fake number plates.

The 48 years old lady doctor, a resident of Sri Sumangala Mawatha, Wariyapola, Kandy, informed the police that the car belongs to her husband, who is also a doctor. The doctor did not possess any documents related to the car when the police examined it.

Investigations revealed that the lady doctor's husband had been driving the car with his brother's car number plates.

The arrested lady doctor's husband was informed to report to the police to record a statement and the lady doctor is to be produced before court.
