Sri Lanka, March 12 -- The Sri Gaura Purnima festival will be celebrated at the Kotahena Sri Radha Krishna Temple on March 13, 2025, which is the full moon day.
This is an auspicious ceremony that celebrates the birth of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (1486-1534), who is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu according to the Vedic Literatures like Brihad-Naradiya-Puranam" which says this present Kaliyuga is full of miseries and to get rid of this there is no any other way than chanting the holy name of God.
The temple encourages devotees to participate in chanting "Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare".
