Sri Lanka, Feb. 13 -- The Bribery Commission's case filed against former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella and members of his family over allegations of illicitly accumulating assets was today fixed for trial on April 27 by Colombo High Court Judge Mohamed Mihal.
Court further directed that summons be issued on the witness to appear before court on that date.
The Bribery Commission has filed indictments against the accused under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, alleging that during the period from August 13, 2020 to June 24, 2024 while serving as Minister of Mass Media, Health and Environment the first accused had unlawfully accumulated assets, thereby committing an offence under the said Act.
