Colombo, April 28 -- The Kandy Municipal Health Department said that the Kandy city is not facing any threat of diseases or health hazards in the aftermath of the large crowds that gathered to pay homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic.
The department rejected statements made by unscrupulous individuals attempting to mislead the public.
Chief Municipal Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Pasan Perakum Jayasinghe, said that the entire city has now been cleared of all garbage left by pilgrims and has been thoroughly cleaned.
