Sri Lanka, Nov. 7 -- Supreme Court Justice S. Thurairaja was sworn in as the Acting Chief Justice before President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat today (07).

The appointment was made following the overseas travel of Chief Justice Preethi Padman Surasena.

Justice Thurairaja will serve as the Acting Chief Justice until Chief Justice Surasena returns to the country.
