Sri Lanka, Dec. 16 -- The Government has identified the digitalisation of Sri Lanka's judicial system as a national priority, with the aim of improving efficiency, transparency and access to justice.

As the first phase of this transformation, the Supreme Court has already implemented a website and an electronic case management system (e-CMS) to manage its case files. Building on this initiative, the proposed e-Court Project seeks to expand the same digital platform across all courts islandwide, including the Court of Appeal, the Judicial Service Commission and the Institute of Judges.
