Sri Lanka, May 9 -- The ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has been suspended with immediate effect due to the heightened armed conflict between India and Pakistan following the terrorist strike on tourists in Pahalgam, as per media reports.
Last night the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, played in Dharamsala was called off after just 10 overs of play as the stadium lights were turned off the fans were asked to vacate the stadium. Following air raid alerts in nearby Jammu and Pathankot, as per emergency protocols, Dharamsala was put under blackout.
The players are being taken out of the city by a special train, as over 27 airports have been shut down.
