Sri Lanka, April 4 -- Indices closed in red as a result of price losses in counters such as Commercial Bank, Hayleys and Melstacorp with the turnover crossing Rs. 3.8 bn.

High net worth and institutional investor participation was noted in John Keells Holdings, Vallibel One and Commercial Bank.

Mixed interest was observed in Tea Smallholder Factories, Hatton National Bank and Dipped Products whilst retail interest was noted in Hela Apparel Holdings, Nation Lanka Finance and LOLC Finance.
