Sri Lanka, Dec. 16 -- Another ship carrying Indian humanitarian assistance under Operation Sagar Bandhu has arrived at the Colombo Port to support Sri Lanka's relief efforts following Cyclone Ditwah.
The Indian Coast Guard Ship Shaurya reached Colombo yesterday with 54.4 tonnes of essential food supplies, including rice, lentils and milk powder. The official handover took place yesterday evening, with Deputy Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation Janitha Ruwan Kodituwakku receiving the aid on behalf of Sri Lanka.
The Deputy Minister expressed heartfelt appreciation to India for the timely support, saying the assistance has significantly strengthened Sri Lanka's response in the aftermath of the disaster.
