Sri Lanka, Oct. 31 -- India is taking steps to provide necessary training to teachers in Sri Lanka and to create special opportunities for creative teachers under the new education reforms, Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya announced.

The Prime Minister made these remarks while participating in the opening ceremony of a multi-ethnic, trilingual school constructed in the Polonnaruwa area with the assistance of the Indian Government.

She highlighted l that the collaboration with India would strengthen Sri Lanka's education system by enhancing teacher capacity and promoting innovative teaching approaches in line with the government's education transformation programme. ...
