Sri Lanka, Dec. 5 -- A fully operational field hospital has been established in Mahiyanganaya, near Kandy, by an Indian medical team to support flood-affected communities with urgent healthcare needs.
The field unit is equipped to provide trauma care, surgical services, ambulances, and other essential medical assistance to residents impacted by the disaster.
In a post on X, the High Commission of India in Colombo said the facility has been set up to deliver critical medical support directly to one of the hardest-hit areas, ensuring affected residents have access to life-saving treatment.
