Sri Lanka, Feb. 1 -- The Government of India has proposed an allocation of 4 billion Indian Rupees in assistance to Sri Lanka through its 2026 Budget.

Presenting the annual budget on Sunday (February 1), Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman outlined a renewed focus on strengthening the manufacturing sector as part of efforts to accelerate economic growth amid global uncertainties.
