Sri Lanka, Jan. 7 -- India's Chief of the Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi, arrived in Sri Lanka today on a two-day official visit, the Indian Ministry of Defence said.
During the visit, Gen. Dwivedi is scheduled to hold talks with senior military and civil officials, including the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, the Deputy Minister of Defence and the Defence Secretary. Discussions are expected to focus on training cooperation, capacity building and regional security.
The Indian Army Chief will also address officers at the Defence Services Command and Staff College and meet personnel at the Army War College in Buttala.
