Sri Lanka, Feb. 16 -- A special delegation led by Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), arrived in Sri Lanka this afternoon on a three-day official visit, the President's Media Division (PMD) said.

The delegation was received at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) by Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando and other officials.

The Managing Director and the IMF delegation is visiting the country to directly assess the damage and impact caused by Cyclone Ditwah.

They are also scheduled to visit the Gampola area tomorrow morning.
