Colombo, Oct. 12 -- Inspector General of Police (IGP) Priyantha Weerasuriya said that he will seek the assistance of the Attorney General on behalf of the police officer involved in the recent incident between a police officer and a lawyer at the Mount Lavinia court premises.
The IGP said that a state councillor will also be involved to take the necessary legal action in connection with the case, which is scheduled to be taken up before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate's Court tomorrow (13).
