Sri Lanka, Nov. 11 -- Opposition MP Ravi Karunanayake told Parliament today that he follows President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in raising questions of national importance under Standing Order 27(2).
He made the remark after members of the ruling party claimed that Opposition MPs were misusing Standing Order 27(2) when raising questions.
The issue was highlighted by Leader of the House Bimal Ratnayake, who said that questions should not be overly complicated.
"It is difficult to provide answers on time when questions are too long or contain a large number of sub-questions," Minister Ratnayake said.
