Srilanka, March 14 -- Fairly heavy showers exceeding 50 mm are anticipated in certain areas within the Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, as well as in the districts of Galle, Matara and Kurunegala.

According to the Meteorology Department, showers are also expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western and Southern Provinces during the evening or night.

"A few places in the North-Central, Uva and Eastern Provinces may experience similar weather conditions during the same period," the department added.

Furthermore, misty conditions are expected in the morning in select areas of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva Provinces, as well as in the districts of Galle and Matara.
