Srilanka, April 18 -- Showers of above 50 mm will occur at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, Eastern, North-Central and Uva Provinces during the afternoon or night, the Department of Meteorology said.

A few showers may occur in the coastal areas of the Western Province and in the Galle, Matara and Puttalam districts in the morning too.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva Provinces and in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the morning.

However, thundershowers will occur at several places in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Matara via Colombo and Galle.
