Colombo, April 29 -- The latest survey on the status of non-communicable diseases (NCD), including diabetes, hypertension and related trends in Sri Lanka, will be conducted this year, the Health Ministry announced.
A discussion regarding the survey was held today (29).
Specialist Dr. Samiddhi Samarakoon, Director of the Non-communicable Diseases Unit at the Ministry of Health, stated that the information gathered through this survey will be highly valuable in setting new development goals for Sri Lanka and in planning future health services.
