Sri Lanka, Jan. 9 -- Media Minister Nalinda Jayatissa told Parliament today that he is committed to ensuring that accurate information is disseminated to the public.

The Minister was responding to a question raised by opposition MP Dayasiri Jayasekera regarding the government's move to cancel the licenses of certain TV channels.

Minister Jayatissa added that the TV channel, which had broadcast incorrect information on health, has since issued a correction.
