Colombo, Sept. 23 -- Cabinet Spokesperson and Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa today said that it is the responsibility of the government to ensure a continuous supply of electricity and that it is not prepared to allow a power outage.

Responding to questions from journalists on the government's decision to cancel the leave of employees following the President's circular declaring all electricity-related services as essential, Dr. Jayatissa said the government would not allow a power outage under any circumstances.
