Sri Lanka, Nov. 6 -- Science and technology are vital forces shaping Sri Lanka's sustainable future, noting that the government is taking significant steps to enhance support for these sectors, Science and Technology, Professor Chrishantha Abeysena Minister said.

He made these remarks while serving as Chief Guest at the Awards for Science Popularization 2025, held recently at the Medicine, University Faculty of Colombo. The event, organized by the National Science Foundation (NSF) under the Science and Technology Ministry, was themed "Nature-Inspired Technology for Sustainable Development" and coincided with World Science Day on November 10.
