Sri Lanka, Aug. 28 -- The Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government Ministry announced that steps will be taken to install fingerprint scanners in all government institutions that do not currently have them.
Minister Prof. A.H.M.H. Abayaratne said that while many state offices are already equipped with fingerprint scanners, several institutions are yet to adopt the system. He noted that the government will ensure scanners are introduced in all such places, describing it as a convenient process for both employees and the administration.
