Colombo, April 8 -- Cabinet Spokesman Nalinda Jayatissa today denied media reports claiming that members of the incumbent government are attempting to shield or prevent the questioning of individuals involved in the Easter Sunday bomb attacks.

Addressing the media, he dismissed the circulating reports related to an alleged statement by the Deputy Minister of Defence.

"Everyone in the country wants justice for the victims and for those who were permanently disabled as a result of the Easter Sunday attacks. Legal action must also be taken against those responsible for the attacks," he said.
