Sri Lanka, Sept. 16 -- The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal to conduct a detailed feasibility study to address increasing traffic congestion at the Lotus Roundabout, one of Colombo's most congested intersections during peak hours.
The congestion at this key location has been identified as a growing concern for the city's urban transport network. Officials warn that the issue will be further exacerbated with the upcoming completion of major infrastructure projects, including the Colombo Port City, the Port Access Road, and other ongoing developments in the city center.
