New Delhi, Sept. 4 -- Former National Lotteries Board Director Thusitha Halloluwa, who was arrested in connection with an assault and shooting incident targeting his own vehicle, was ordered to be further remanded until September 18 by Colombo Additional Magistrate Lahiru Silva today.

Authorities allege that the crime was orchestrated by Halloluwa in collaboration with organized criminals.

The magistrate rejected his bail application, citing concerns that the suspect could obstruct the investigation and pose a threat to witnesses, and ordered that he remain in custody.
