Sri Lanka, June 5 -- Former General Manager of the Sri Lanka Land Reclamation and Development Corporation Srimati Mallika Kumari Senadheera who was arrested today by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption was released on bail.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali granted bail to the suspect on two sureties of Rs. 500,000 each.

She was accused of the misappropriation of Rs. 27.6 million from the Werassa Ganga project, allegedly spent on an inauguration ceremony without following due procurement procedures.
