Srilanka, Jan. 31 -- The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested a former Managing Director of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) in connection with the alleged misuse of Rs. 6.1 million.
Police Spokesman SSP Buddhika Manathunga confirmed that the suspect was arrested yesterday in Malabe.
This development follows the earlier arrest of former Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa and his wife by the CID, also in relation to the alleged misappropriation of the same amount from the CPC in 2014.
