Sri Lanka, Jan. 1 -- The Sri Lanka Navy recognized the crucial support provided by foreign warships that arrived for the International Fleet Review (IFR) 2025, which coincided with the Navy's 75th anniversary celebrations. The visiting vessels also contributed to Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations during a recent severe weather event in Sri Lanka.
The IFR 2025 was held off the Galle Face seas under the theme "Sailing Strong - Together." Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Harini Amarasuriya represented the Government of Sri Lanka at the event and received the traditional naval salute aboard SLNS Gajabahu, as participating foreign warships paid their respects.
