Sri Lanka, Jan. 6 -- Five people have died in the Wennappuwa Marawila area after consuming a liquid suspected to be illegal alcohol.

Police said that three men were found dead inside a house, while two others, who were critically ill, succumbed after being admitted to the Wennappuwa Hospital.

Marawila Police are conducting investigations to determine the cause and circumstances of the deaths.
